Competency Assesment Centers

Assessment centers to assess competencies of people are highly regarded for their ability to provide an insight into a candidate’s abilities beyond what typical assessments can reveal.

They often include activities such as Psychometrics, Problem Solving Cases, In-tray exercises, Thematic Apperception Tests (TAT), etc. Each component is very carefully designed to assess unique competencies like Leadership, Conflict Handling, Communication, Analytical Ability and the likes.

An Assessment Center runs for 2- days depending on the objective of the assessment center.

Our Experience with Assessment Centers

1. Identifying a Chief Operating Officer (COO): A large organization sought to select a COO from five potential candidates for its India-wide operations. We conducted a three-day assessment center, which included a business planning exercise. The selected candidate has successfully served as COO for the past decade.

2. Identifying Potential CXOs (Management Team): We assisted two large Swiss organizations in expanding their management teams in India. Our assessment centers helped identify suitable candidates, with the organizations making their final selections based on our submitted reports.

3. Identifying Gaps in a Senior Management Team: For one of our clients, we conducted assessment centers for their senior management team. The objective was to identify competency gaps, enabling a targeted development process to bridge these gaps effectively.

4. Extensive Experience: We have conducted over 100 assessment centers for various purposes, including competency assessment for capability building, as part of interview processes, and for selecting candidates for key positions.
